The labels and numbers associated with glasses represent the corrective strength of lenses. These units are known as ‘diopters’. Measurements vary from +1.0 – +3.0 corresponding to stronger and weaker corrective powers. The higher the number, the stronger the lens is.
All of the glasses in our collection come in increments of .5:
A user needing +3.0 lenses requires stronger vision correction compared to someone who needs +1.0 lenses. This suggests that only minor vision correction is required.
Finding the right strength reading glasses is important in order to prevent headaches, dizziness or nausea.
